Ask whether it is too late
It is the question people open with and it almost never is. A van already on the drive, a house half emptied, a booking that collapsed on the Friday — all ordinary starting points here.
Tell us what is left, not what has gone
It is the thing people get the wrong way round, understandably. The job now is whatever is still standing in the house, and describing the original move makes it sound bigger and more expensive than it is.
Photographs of the rooms still to go, plus one of the staircase, give us the volume and the difficulty in a single message.
If you are not sure you need us
Ask anyway. A single item across town is a courier. One room with a lift at both ends is frequently you and a friend. A few boxes is your own car over two trips.
We will say all three and each of them costs us a booking. It is the honest answer to the question that was asked.
If something went wrong
Write and say so plainly. Your booking contract covers claims and the time limits on them, and we would far rather deal with it directly than leave you reading clauses on your own.
