The category question, and the external lift
The first thing to establish on this route is which category of arrival you fall into, because the entitlements attached to each differ substantially and people commonly assume the wrong one. It is not a question a removals firm should be answering, and we will say so rather than guess.
What we can do is make sure the inventory and the entries are prepared to suit whichever category the proper authority confirms. What we cannot do is tell you which one that is, and any firm that offers to is overreaching.
The second subject is the buildings. Israeli apartment stock runs to small lifts and tight stone stairwells, and the lift car and the lift door opening are two different measurements with the second one being the constraint.
Which is why an external furniture lift — a hoist taking goods in through a balcony or window — is in routine use rather than being an emergency measure. It is arranged and quoted in advance, and on a Tel Aviv delivery it is frequently the plan rather than the fallback.
